96 - 42.80 = 4.5y + 3.2y + 5.6y
(opposite signs when you cross over the equal sign)
53.2=13.3y

53.2/13.3=y
4=y

96 - 4.5y - 3.2y = 5.6y + 42.80

96 - 7.7y = 5.6y + 42.80

96 = 5.6y + 42.80 + 7.7y

96 = 13.3y + 42.80

96 - 42.80 = 13.3y

53.2 = 13.3y

4 = y

hope that helps, God bless!

Answer:

The 0 and 1 outcomes would be considered unusual.

Step-by-step explanation:

We can define as usual outcomes, the ones that fall between \bar{x}\pm 3s.

According to a binomial distribution, s value is

s=\sqrt{n*p*(1-p)}\\s=\sqrt{8*0.65*(1-0.65)}\\s=\sqrt{1.82}=1.35

The expected value out of a 8 people sample is

\bar{x}=p*n=0.65*8=5.2\\

Then, our interval of usual values lies between

\bar{x}- 3s\leq x \leq \bar{x} +3s\\\\5.20-3*1.35\leq x \leq 5.20+3*1.35\\1.15\leq x \leq 9.25

We can conclude that 0 and 1 (the results that lie outside of the interval) are unusual.

stepladder [879]

Answer:

The length of the rectangular banner is 10 inches

The width of the rectangular banner is 2 inches .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The length of rectangular banner is five times as long as its width

The perimeter of rectangular banner = P = 24 inches

Let The width of rectangular banner = w inches

And The length of rectangular banner = 5 w  inches

Now, According to question

The perimeter of rectangular banner = perimeter of rectangle = 2 × length + 2 × width

Or, The perimeter of rectangular banner =  2 × 5 w + 2 × w

Or, 24 inches = 10 w + 2 w

Or, 24 inches = 12 w

∴ w = \dfrac{24}{12}

I.e w = 2 inches

So, The width of rectangular banner = w = 2 inches

Put the value of w to get length

So, The length of rectangular banner = 5 × 2 = 10  inches

Hence The length of the rectangular banner is 10 inches and The width of the rectangular banner is 2 inches . Answer
