Well 1.5 is also known as 1.50 but 1.54 is greater because it has that 4 instead of the zero. So 1.54 is greater.

Your Welcome.

1.54 because 1.5 is the same thing as 1.50

Andrej [43]

Answer:

Probability of N Divisible by 3 - 0.33

Probability of N Divisible by 5 - 0.2

Probability of N Divisible by 7 - 0.413

Probability of N Divisible by 15 - 0.066

Probability of N Divisible by 105 - 0.0095

Step-by-step explanation:

Given data:

Integer N {1,2,.....10^3}

Thus total number of ways by which 1000 is divisible by 3 i.e. 1000/3 = 333.3

Probability of N divisible by 3 {N%3 = 0 } = \frac{333.3}{1000} = 0.33

total number of ways by which 1000 is divisible by 5 i.e. 1000/5 = 200

Probability of N divisible by 5 {N%5 = 0 } = \frac{200}{1000} = 0.2

total number of ways by which 1000 is divisible by 7 i.e. 1000/7 = 142.857

Probability of N divisible by 7 {N%7 = 0 } = \frac{142.857}{1000} = 0.413

total number of ways by which 1000 is divisible by 15 i.e. 1000/15 = 66.667

Probability of N divisible by 15 {N%15 = 0 } = \frac{66.667}{1000} = 0.066

total number of ways by which 1000 is divisible by 105 i.e. 1000/105 = 9.52

Probability of N divisible by 105 {N%105 = 0 } = \frac{9.52}{1000} = 0.0095

similarly for N is selected from 1,2.....(10)^k where K is  large then the N value. Therefore effect of k will remain same as previous part.

Simplify the following expression.
AlekseyPX

Answer:

The answer is cosx cot²x ⇒ the first answer

Step-by-step explanation:

∵ cot²x = cos²x/sin²x

∵ secx = 1/cosx

∴ cot²x secx - cosx = (cos²x/sin²x)(1/cosx) - cosx

  = (cosx/sin²x) - cosx

Take cosx as a common factor

∴ cosx[(1/sin²x) - 1] ⇒ use L.C.M

∴  cosx[1-sin²x/sin²x]

∵ 1 - sin²x = cos²x

∴ cosx(cos²x/sin²x) = cosx cot²x

At a new exhibit in the Museum of Science, people are asked to choose between 94 or 220 random draws from a machine. The machine
Tresset [83]

Answer:

0.0869 = 8.69% probability of getting more than 61% green balls.

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this question, we need to understand the normal probability distribution and the central limit theorem.

Normal Probability Distribution:

Problems of normal distributions can be solved using the z-score formula.

In a set with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the z-score of a measure X is given by:

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

The Z-score measures how many standard deviations the measure is from the mean. After finding the Z-score, we look at the z-score table and find the p-value associated with this z-score. This p-value is the probability that the value of the measure is smaller than X, that is, the percentile of X. Subtracting 1 by the p-value, we get the probability that the value of the measure is greater than X.

Central Limit Theorem

The Central Limit Theorem estabilishes that, for a normally distributed random variable X, with mean \mu and standard deviation \sigma, the sampling distribution of the sample means with size n can be approximated to a normal distribution with mean \mu and standard deviation s = \frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}.

For a skewed variable, the Central Limit Theorem can also be applied, as long as n is at least 30.

For a proportion p in a sample of size n, the sampling distribution of the sample proportion will be approximately normal with mean \mu = p and standard deviation s = \sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}}

The machine is known to have 99 green balls and 78 red balls.

This means that p = \frac{99}{99+78} = 0.5593

Mean and standard deviation:

\mu = p = 0.5593

s = \sqrt{\frac{p(1-p)}{n}} = \sqrt{\frac{0.5593*0.4407}{99+78}} = 0.0373

a. Calculate the probability of getting more than 61% green balls.

This is 1 subtracted by the pvalue of Z when X = 0.61. So

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{\sigma}

By the Central Limit Theorem

Z = \frac{X - \mu}{s}

Z = \frac{0.61 - 0.5593}{0.0373}

Z = 1.36

Z = 1.36 has a pvalue of 0.9131

1 - 0.9131 = 0.0869

0.0869 = 8.69% probability of getting more than 61% green balls.

Please Identify the congruent triangles in the figure.
Tpy6a [65]

The missing steps are each right angles and \angle R \cong \angle O.

Solution:

Step 1: Given data:

\overline {P Q} \cong \overline{M N}

\overline{Q R} \cong \overline{N O}

\overline{P R} \cong \overline{M O}

Step 2: In the two polygons,

\angle Q =90^\circ and \angle N =90^\circ

\angle Q \cong \angle N (Each right angle)

Step 3: Given

\angle P \cong \angle M

Step 4: By third angle theorem,

If two angles in one triangle are congruent to the two angles in the other triangle, then the third angles in the triangles also congruent.

\angle R \cong \angle O

Step 5: By the definition of congruent polygons,

If two same shape polygons have all the angles are congruent and all the corresponding sides are congruent then the polygons are congruent.

Hence \Delta P Q R \cong \Delta M N O.

Therefore the missing steps are each right angles and \angle R \cong \angle O.
