Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

In statistics, whenever full population cannot be surveyed, a random sample can be taken and from the observations population behaviour can be estimated.

Here given that there are 200 members. Instead of collecting data from all 200, 20 members are randomly taken.

The sample mean x bar can be estimated to give an idea the population mean also.

ACcording to central value theorem, means of different samples will follow a distribution with mean = population mean and std deviation = std dev of sample/square root of n

Hence we fix confidence interval as Mean + or - Z critical * std error

This gives us an idea about within which means will lie for different samples and hence give an idea about population mean also.

If you place a 50-foot ladder against the top of a 14-foot building, how many feet will the bottom of the ladder be from the bot
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

The measure of bottom of ladder from bottom of building is 48 .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The length of the ladder = l = 50 foot

The height of the building = h = 14 foot

Let The measure of bottom of ladder from bottom of building = x foot

Now from figure

The figure is of right angled triangle

So,

Hypotenuse² = perpendicular² + base²

Or, OB² = AB² + OA²

Or, OA² = OB² - AB²

Or, x² = (50)² - (14)²

Or, x² = 2500 - 196

Or, x² = 2304

∴ x = \sqrt{2304}

I.e x = 48

So,The measure of bottom of ladder from bottom of building = x = OA = 48 foot .

Hence, The measure of bottom of ladder from bottom of building is 48 . Answer
