Hello Kaitlyn

The first thing we must do is solve the equation they gave us. So come on, let's do it!

We have :
x³ + 6x² - 27x = 140
x³ + 6x² - 27x - 140 = 0
Now all we have to do is factorize. ( See simple! However, make sure you don't make mistake while you are factoring. This can make you get C for Algebra)
Ok , let's move on!
Like I said, we just need to factorize it
(x + 4)(x - 5)(x + 7) = 0
Tips : If you are not sure if the factorization is correct just try to solve the factorization you get by using distributive property. And you see you find the same thing just like they gave it to you - you got it correct! But if not, go and re-do it!

Too much talking :)
Ok we were on
(x + 4)(x -5)(x +7) = 0
Now all we have to do is equal each factors to 0
x + 4 = 0 or x - 5 = 0 or x + 7 = 0
x = -4 or x = 5 or x= -7
Listen up! Those are the 3 options we have for x - which is we are looking for.

Be carefully there :) we have -4 and -7 and 5 as 3 option and we get to pick one. This is easy to find!

In option give, they have : 4 and 7 and 5 and 3. We can automatically remove 3 because it was not in our solution. So we have 4, 7 and 5 left.
In our solution : 4 and 7 were negative. right ? But they put them positive to blow your mind. So we just throw 4 and 7 somewhere else and we have 5 as the winner :)

Too much talking!

The correct option is : B
The length is 5 inches, the width is 2 inches, and the height is 14 inches.

PLEASE HELP WITH THIS ONE AS WELL! I’m struggling with Transcendental Functions!
Svetach [21]

h(x)=20e^{kx}

a. If h(1)=20, then 20=20e^k\implies e^k=1\implies k=0.

b. If h(1)=40, then 40=20e^k\implies e^k=2\implies k=\ln2, so that 2k+1=2\ln2+1.

c. If h(1)=10, then 10=20e^k\implies e^k=\dfrac12\implies k=-\ln2, so that k-3=-\ln2-3.
