Hurricane: a type of storm called a tropical cyclone, which forms over tropical or subtropical water. The ocean water evaporates caused by heat from the sun. The evaporating water forms a cloud of warm, moist air that moves upward. Then, as the warm, moist air rises, more air rushes into replace it. Hurricanes form near the equator over warm oceans.
Tornado: a mobile, destructive vortex of violently rotating winds having the appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud and advancing beneath a large storm system. Most tornadoes form from thunderstorms. You need warm, moist air from the Gulf of Mexico and cool, dry air from Canada.
A convergent boundary is an area on Earth where two or more lithospheric plates collide. One plate eventually slides beneath the other, a process known as subduction.
