Answer and Explanation:

A sustainable society is the one in which humans satisfy their own needs, grows and develope without compromising the existence of their future generations and the existence of other species.

The base of these societies is the knowledge of the environment's capacity to assimilate residuals and provide food and other resources. They respect the natural resources cycles and adapt to them.

These societies think as a whole in a collective and equitable fairway, and not individually.

  • Recycling is an example of sustainable action.  By reusing once and again different things, people save energy and decrease contamination and pollution.
  • Rational use of renewable energies is another example of sustainable actions. By using eolic energy, solar energy people decrease pollution and the use of unrenewable resources.

An unsustainable society is the one in which humans satisfy their own needs with no concern at all of the other living beings or future generations. Unsustainable societies make indiscriminate use of natural resources not letting them complete their cycles, or to renovate.

These societies might know the environment's capacity to assimilate residuals and provide food and other resources, but they do not show much care about it.

These societies think individually, selfishly, and according to the needs of each one.

  • Forest destruction is an example of unsustainable actions, human cutting down trees with no control to obtain wood, or for buildings, or to grow monocultures, contaminating the soil, polluting water and affecting every form of life that lives in the forest.
  • Monoculture is another example of unsustainable actions. Growing only a few species of plants, a few varieties, in huge lands and making unconscious use of pesticides and fertilizers, that penetrate the soil contaminating it, polluting water and affecting plans and animals that live around that land and beyond.
