They are both involuntary systems. Meaning the initial part of the process may be controlled like eating and chewing or holding your breath, but the rest of it is something that just happens and you don't have to think about it. For the most part you don't even think about the breathing. They both obviously keep you alive, but it's because your body takes aspects of each to do so. Removing oxygen from the air and putting it into the blood stream and removing nutrients from food to power cells. Thirdly, they both take something in, use it, and remove the waste.

Most scientists agree that global warming is underway, thus, it is important to know how plants respond to heat stress. Which of
SIZIF [17.4K]

Answer:

The answer is b) increased production of heat-shock proteins

Explanation:

High temperatures release a cascade of signals that drive the expression of some genes and the synthesis of so-called stress proteins, whose function is to stabilize the structure of proteins and enzymes and are involved in the protection of the photosynthetic system and stabilization of the membranes. Plants produce antioxidant and detoxifying enzymes to reduce the damage caused by reactive oxygen species, since the production of these substances is caused by heat stress.
