Answer:

Roots (It has a solution)

Step-by-step explanation:

One method to find out whether or not this equation has a solution or not is to try to solve for x..

\sqrt{x-5} =4\\\\x-5=16\\\\x=21

As we could find a solution, it has a root.

Lina20 [59]

Answer:

f^{-1}(x)=x^2-3

Step-by-step explanation:

Given f(x)=\sqrt{x+3}

Let y=\sqrt{x+3}

Interchange x and y

x=\sqrt{y+3}

Solve for y, by first squaring both sides

x^2=y+3

x^2-3=y

Hence

f^{-1}(x)=x^2-3

The last choice is correct

Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ulleksa [173]

y = \frac{11}{6} x + 5

the equation of a line in slope-intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y-intercept )

to calculate m use the gradient formula

m = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (6, 16 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (0, 5 )

m = \frac{5-16}{0-6} = \frac{-11}{-6} = \frac{11}{6}

the y-intercept = (0, 5 ) ⇒ c = 5

y = \frac{11}{6} x + 5 ← in slope-intercept form

10 POINTS + BRAINLIEST TO WHOEVER ANSWERS FIRST (NO GUESSING)
kvasek [131]
I'm pretty sure it would be the triangle. If you sliced through it, you would basically be slicing through the same shape. The outcome is the same as it was previously. So if you sliced through a triangle, through it's vertex it would be a triangle.
