The Judicial branch of our government is the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Their job is to explain the laws of this country under the Constitution. They must decide if the laws are constitutional ( do not go against the Constitution).

well equipped, well disciplined, well paid, and well fed. The British
navy dominated the seas. Funds were much more easily raised by the
Empire than by the Continental Congress.
Some of those funds were used to hire Hessian mercenaries to fight the Americans.
