Scientific law is the detailed explanation of observed phenomena. It is not explaning what is the cause of the phenomena. So , we can say that explanation of phenomena is the scientific theory. They are testable .

example : Theory of electricity, chemistry

In everyday language a theory means a guess or speculation. Everyday Theory introduces students to theory and how it applies to everyday life.
