Well one is talking about money and the other one is talking about distance and other studies. It is still talking about studies it is just differently discussed.

The answer is Sound. You can hear sound in a stage production (Also known as a play) but you cannot read sound. It doesn't "appear" in a novel or book. Novels use expression and descriptive words, while stage productions use tone and sound.
