Two "naked" (without histones or other proteins) double-stranded fragments of DNA are exactly the same length. At 89°C, fragment

A has completely denatured, which means that the two strands have separated. At that temperature, fragment B is still double-stranded. How might these fragments differ, to result in different denaturation temperatures?

Answer:

Fragment B has a higher C/G base pair content.

Explanation:

DNA denaturalization happens when the double helix melts and the result is two single strands. The separation occurs because the hydrogen bonds between the bases, break apart.

DNA denaturalization occurs faster in the regions where the interaction between the two strands is weak, A/T rich regions. On the other hand in C/G rich regions, the strand is held together more strongly hence, it takes more time for it to break apart.

DNA with a lot of A/T base pairs denatures at 158 °F (70°C) and DNA rich with C/G base pairs denatures at over 212 °F (100°C). C≡G base pairs have three hydrogen bonds, the bond is very stable and needs a lot of energy to be dissociated. The higher the C≡G base pairs content, the higher the melting point of the DNA.

Komok [63]

Answer:

The star is traveling towards the earth.

Explanation:

Space experts arrange stars into groups as per their shading and the composition. This star arrangement framework goes this way: O, B, A, F, G, K, M in which O star is blue and is very hot and M stars are red and the coolest and most basic stars in the Universe.

From the color of the star we can infer that as the star is appearing red it is inferred that the star is an M star and it is traveling towards the earth.

How could air this is staurated with water become overstaurated without adding water
White raven [17]

It could be cooled which would then cause it to become over-saturated resulting in condensation that would return the air to a saturated state. Over-saturated air, with a humidity greater than 100%, is unstable, causing changes to restore stability. Hope this helps!

What is the difference between Diffusion and facilitated diffusion and osmosis
stira [4]

Hello fellow seventh grader, Similarities: 1.Both move from a region of high concentration to a region of low concentration through a partially permeable membrane. Differences: Facilitated diffusion is for any small particles which can pass through a partially permeable membrane while osmosis is only for water molecules.

Terminators are sequences of DNA that are the stop signals for the transcription of mRNA
Free_Kalibri [48]
The answer is true.

Terminators are sequences of DNA that mark the end of a gene in genomic DNA during transcription and it provides transcriptional termination. When RNA polymerase comes to the terminator, the RNA transcript (mRNA) is released from the transcriptional complex.
