Vesnalui [34]
The correct answer here would be B - adoption of cultural characterstics of the conquerors by the vanquished.

However, this was not neccessarily the case always as sometimes those who conquered could adopt some characteristics of those they conquered. However, in general, B would be the correct answer.

How did thanksgiving start?
Taya2010 [7]

By the beginning of the 17th century, the Pilgrims used to celebrate Thanksgiving after their harvests in the New World. At that time, the celebration took three days of praying as a way of thanking God.

The "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated in October 1621 when the Pilgrims got their first harvest in their new lands in America. Not only the Pilgrims but also the Native Americans attended the festival.

From 1789 Thanksgiving has been celebrated intermittently in the US until President A. Lincoln declared "Thanksgiving" a national holiday which would take place on the fourth Thursday of November.

What was the result of the U.S. Senate's refusal to approve the Treaty of Versailles?
katen-ka-za [31]
The result was that the Treaty of Versailles could not be passed. The Senate needed a two-thirds majority to pass the treaty, but the Republicans were vehemently opposed to passing the treaty, because they felt they needed more reservations were needed and did not like the idea that the League of Nations could declare a war without asking for a vote by the U.S. Congress. There was also significant opposition by the Irish Catholics and German Democrats who felt this was giving too much power to Britain. As a result, the treaty was never ratified, but separate agreements were signed.
