We will find the rate of Greg and Josh earning money that is the amount of money they receive per unit time (hour)

Since the trip is in 3 weeks,

Number of hours Josh worked = 3 weeks * (5 hours/week) = 15 hours

Number of hours Greg worked = 3 weeks * (8 hours/week) = 24 hours

Josh’s rate = $480/15 hrs = $32/hr

Greg’s rate = $480/24 hrs = $20/hr

Therefore

Josh makes $12/hr more than Greg

19. A cross section of a water trough is in the shape of trapezoid with bases measuring 4 m and 12 m. what is the length of the
ludmilkaskok [199]

Given:

The bases of trapezoid measuring 4 m and 12 m.

To find:

The median of the trapezoid.

Solution:

The median of the trapezoid is the average of its bases.

\text{Median}=\dfrac{\text{Upper base + Lower base}}{2}

The bases of trapezoid measuring 4 m and 12 m. So, the median of the trapezoid is:

\text{Median}=\dfrac{4+12}{2}

\text{Median}=\dfrac{16}{2}

\text{Median}=8

Therefore, the correct option is C.

How many solutions are there to the equation below? 12x + 32 = 12x - 7
marshall27 [118]
0 solutions

move the x to one side, and the numbers to the other.

12x (-12x) + 32 (-32)= 12 (-12x) - 7 (-32)

12x - 12x = -7 - 32

0 = -39

0 ≠ -39

∴ you have 0 solutions

hope this helps
