Y = -3x  + 6

y - 6 = -3x

-1/3 y + 2 = x

z = x  -3

z = -1/3 y + 2 -3 = -1/3  y  - 1

set z = 0

-1/3 y = 1

y = -3

set y = 0

z = - 1

Answer:

We are given the parametric equations as:

x = t

y = -3t + 6

z = t - 3

Clearly we could find a relationship between x and y as:

y= -3x+6----(1)

since x=t

Also we can find a relationship between x and z as:

z=x-3-----(2)

Now we can write a relationship between y and z as:

from equation (2) we have:

x=z+3 and putting this value of x in equation (1) to obtain:

y=-3(3+z)+6

y= -3z-3

Now we can consider three points as:

When x=1    y=3    z=-2

{\qquad\qquad\huge\underline{{\sf Answer}}}

Let's solve ~

Equation of directrix is : y = 1, so we can say that it's a parabola of form : -

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: (x - h) {}^{2}  = 4a(y - k)

  • h = x - coordinate of focus = -4

  • k = y - coordinate of focus = 5

  • a = half the perpendicular distance between directrix and focus = 1/2(5 - 1) = 1/2(4) = 2

and since the focus is above the directrix, it's a parabola with upward opening.

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: (x - ( - 4)) {}^{2}  = 4(2)(y - 5)

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: (x  + 4) {}^{2}  = 8(y - 5)

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \:  {x}^{2}  + 8x + 16 = 8y - 40

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: 8y =  {x}^{2}  + 8x + 56

\qquad \sf  \dashrightarrow \: y =  \cfrac{1}{8} {x}^{2}   + x + 7

kotegsom [21]

Answer:

  20 days

Step-by-step explanation:

The number of days will be a multiple of both 4 and 5. The smallest such multiple is called the "least common multiple" (LCM). One way to figure the LCM is to divide the product of the numbers by their greatest common factor. Since 4 and 5 have no common factors, the LCM is 4·5 = 20.

Both teams will be practicing on the same day again in 20 days.
