The writers of the Constitution addressed the Anti-Federalists concern about the central government having too much power by adding th Bill of Rights (first 10 amendments) to the Constitution.
This made sure that the people will still have rights ( freedom of speech, press, etc), and that no one person (president) wouldn't have too much power.
