You add 4 foot section of land to a 6 six foot by 8 foot garden. Find the area of the new garden

Area = W x L
The area of the new garden depends on how the 4 foot section is added.
If added to the 6 foot side, the 6 foot becomes 10 feet and the area would be 80 sq feet.
But it is perhaps more likely the 8 foot side was lengthened to 12 feet and the new garden would have an area of 72 sq feet.

the area formula is a parallelogram is equal to (Base)*(height). If the area if a parallelogram is given by the trinomial x^2-14
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

x-12

Step by step explanation:

Here it is given that the area of a parallelogram is given by base * height. And if the area is represented by ,

\longrightarrow A = x^2-14x+24

And the base of the parallelogram is given by,

\longrightarrow Base = x-2

Substituting the values in the given formula, we have;

\longrightarrow Area = base \times height

\longrightarrow x^2-14x+24=h(x-2)\\

Divide both sides by (x-2) .

\longrightarrow h =\dfrac{x^2-14x+24}{x-2}

Factorise the term in numerator,

\longrightarrow h =\dfrac{x^2-12x-2x+24}{x-2}\\

\longrightarrow h =\dfrac{x(x-12)-2(x-12)}{x-2}\\

\longrightarrow h =\dfrac{(x-2)(x-12)}{x-2}

Simplify,

\longrightarrow \underline{\underline{ height= x-12}}

This is the required answer!

Use the following unit fractions to express 180 miles per hour in feet per second
harina [27]

Answer:

264 ft/sec

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to use the conversion factors

5280 ft/ 1 mi, 60 min/ 1 hr , and 60 sec/1 min

180 miles         1 hour               1 min        5280 ft

----------------- * -----------------  * ------------ * ---------------

hour                60 minutes       60 sec      1 miles

The hours, minutes and miles cancel are we are left with ft/sec

180 *5280        ft

----------------- * -----------------

60*60                 sec

264 ft/sec

Kallie has $45.50 saved towards a new bike. If the bike costs $184.76 including tax, how much d
alexandr1967 [171]

Answer:

Please read the step by step.

Step-by-step explanation:

184.76 - 45.50 = 139.26.|

If she wants to buy it in six weeks and only needs $139.26 you would need to divide $139.26 by 6 to see how much money she would have to make per week to meet the mark.

$139.26 divided by 6 is $26.21

Therefore Kallie would need to make $26.21 per week to reach her goal.

Looking at the equations none of the provided answers would even come close to the answer above.

1. 139.26 - 6 is not saying if it is a 6.00 or a 0.06 so it could be 133.26 or 139.20 but that wouldn't make any since involving the question.

2. 6 multiplied by 139.26 would be 835.56 but no where was it asked to multiply.

3. 139.6 - 8 isn't even brought up in the question above.

4. 45.50 x 6 is 273 and that would be too much unless tax is unreasonably high but even then it didn't mention what the tax would be. (it would be 47.76% on the dot btw)

In that case your closest bet would have to be 6x45.50 but your teacher is kind of insane to think a middle schooler should have to figure out how much a ungodly sales tax would be out of all of this.

Good luck on your assignment, I am here if you need anything else.
