Solve for x Write both solutions, seperated by a comma 4x^2+5x+1=0
stiv31 [10]

Answer:

-1/4 , -1

Step-by-step explanation:

I solved it using Factorization method and Quadratic Equation .

Factorization Method

4x^2+5x+1=0\\Write +5x- as- a -difference(write+5x-using- two- numbers -in-which-their-sum-is ; 5-and-their-product-is ; 4)\\4x^{2} +4x+1x+1=0\\Factorize-out-common-terms\\4x(x+1)+1(x+1)=0\\Factor-out-(x+1)\\(4x+1)(x+1)=0\\4x+1 =0 \\x+1=0\\4x=0-1\\x =0-1\\4x =-1\\x =-1\\4x=-\frac{1}{4} \\\\Answer = -1/4 , -1

Quadratic Equation

4x^2+5x+1=0\\a = 4\\b =5\\c = 1\\\\x =\frac{-b\±\sqrt{b^2 -4ac} }{2a} \\\\x = \frac{-(5)\±\sqrt{(5)^2-4(4)(1)} }{2(4)} \\\\x = \frac{-5\±\sqrt{25-16} }{8} \\\\x = \frac{-5\±\sqrt{9} }{8} \\\\x = \frac{-5\±3}{8} \\\\x =\frac{-5+3}{8} \\\\x = \frac{-5-3}{8} \\\\x = \frac{-2}{8} \\\\x = \frac{-8}{8} \\\\x = -\frac{1}{4} \\x=-1

Help me with this please
pashok25 [27]
The way that i learned this was first set > to = worry about it later

so 9x-7i=3(3x-7u)
so 9x-7i=9x-21u
the x cancel out
so 7i= -21u
now isolate the variable
so
7i/-21=u
so
u=-i/3

Find the area of the shaded region of the circle. Please explain :)
marishachu [46]
Area of shaded part = area of circle - area of the square
= pi (6)^2  - area of the square.

Area of square = (m of one side) ^2
measure of of side is found as follows:-
6^2  =  2s^2    where   m of the side = 2s
s = sqrt 18   so side of square = 2 sqrt18
area of square = (2 sqrt18)^2 = 4*18 = 72

area of shaded region = 36pi - 72  =  41.1 sq units  to neraest tenth

An aquarium sells five stuffed animal sharks for $64.95. What is the cost of eight stuffed animal sharks? I really need to know
DedPeter [7]

We know the value of five stuffed sharks is $64.95.

Now, to find the value of 8 we need to find the unit value.

Divide $64.95 by 5.

64.95/5 = 12.99

The unit price is 12.99, and now we can solve for the value of 8.

12.99 * 8 = $103.93

<h3>Eight stuffed sharks costs $103.93</h3>
