History

The Carlisle Indian Industrial School was an Indian boarding school in Carlisle, Pennsylvania that operated from 1879 to 1918. At that time, it was believed that the only way for American Indians to survive in the new society was for them to be assimilated into mainstream American culture. The school became the model for 26 other Indian Boarding Schools across the country.

The Progressive Era of the late 19th and early 20th century wanted to achieve progress and development for the nation. Native American people were seen as an obstacle to achieving that modernity. <em>Acquiring lands, restricting cultural and religious practices and sending children to boarding schools</em> were the most common government policies of the period. These practices decreased the Indian population, both in terms of population and in terms of power and autonomy. As their presence decreased, there was even more of a need for boarding schools, as a way to integrate those people who were losing their culture due to assimilation even further.

Volgvan
The fee is used to fund that portion of system operations costs (collection, transportation and marketing) not covered by material revenues (i.e., the 'salvage value' of the containers) and unredeemed deposits. Beverage container deposit laws, or bottle bills, are designed to reduce litter and capture bottles, cans, and other containers for recycling. Ten states and Guam have a deposit-refund system for beverage containers. They paid that deposit to the manufacturer when the container was bought and they're only passing it along to you. The store keeps none of the deposit, or the recycling fee. ... They pay the deposit and recycling fee to Encorp once the container is shipped.

Promotion within napoleon new bureaucracy was
geniusboy [140]

Answer:

based on ability only, not rank or birth

Explanation:

Napoleon Bonaparte was a prominent military leader during the <em>"French Revolution."</em> He reformed the French "bureaucracy" under his leadership by<u> appointing the members according to their abilities and not by rank or birth</u>. This allowed the citizens to have more equal opportunities of being chosen. So, this means that <em>even the </em><em>middle class</em><em> were given the chance to be appointed. </em>

Under his leadership, a new kind of aristocracy was made. This was based on "merit in the state service." So, this gave the <u>people in the military</u> and <u>people who hold upper ranks in the civil service</u> to become part of the noble class.

So, this explains the answer.
