Hey there!

In order to solve this equation we have to distribute the negative symbols

So the subtraction symbol in the center of the equation becomes a addition symbol but the 1 is a negative

2(\frac{3}{5} n +3 ) + -1 (\frac{2}{3}n-1) \\ \\ 2(\frac{3}{5} n+3)-1(\frac{2}{3}n) + -1(-1 ) \\ \\ 2(\frac{3}{5}n +3) + \frac{-2}{3} +1

We can distribute in the normal method now!

2(\frac{3}{5} n) +2(3)+ \frac{-2}{3}n+` \\ \\ \\ 2(\frac{3}{5} n) = \frac{6}{5}n \\ \\ \\ 2(3) = 6 \\ \\ \\ = \frac{6}{5}n + 6 + \frac{-2}{3} + 1

Next, combine your like values (like terms)

\frac{6}{5} n +6 + \frac{-2}{3}n +1 \\ \\ \\ \\ \frac{6}{5}n + \frac{-2}{3}n + (6 +1)

Solving for our result

\frac{6}{5}n + \frac{-2}{3} n = \frac{8}{15} \\ \\ \\ \\ \\ 6 + 1 = 7

Therefore your answer would most likely be: \frac{8}{15} + 7

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

Hey there! :)

2(3/5n + 3) - (2/3n - 1)

Simplify.

(2 * 3/5n) + (2 * 3) - (2/3n -1)

Simplify.

6/5n + 6 - 2/3n + 1

Add like terms.

(6/5n - 2/3n) + (6 + 1)

Make the fractions have the same denominator by multiplying fraction 1 (6/5n) by 3/3 and fraction 2 (-2/3n) by 5/5.

6/5n * 3/3 = 18/15n

-2/3n * 5/5 = -10/15n

So, our new equation looks like this : (18/15n - 10/15n) + (6 + 1)

Simplify.

8/15n + 6 —> final answer.

Hope this helped! :)

Last year, William made $620 babysitting. This year, he made 340% more money than he did last year. How much money did William m
STatiana [176]

Well it is a simple percentage question that we have to solve.

As we know that William made 620 by baby sitting and we also know that he made 340 per cent more next year so we can simply calculate 340 per cent of 620 and then add that percentage value to 620 to calculate the final answer.

So 340 / 100 * 620 equals to 2108 so the final answer is 2108 + 620 which becomes 2728.
