No, People are criticized all of the time about their garments(which is silly in my opinion). I, however, have never. I just don'y pay it any mind.

Your thesis statement: <span> Even though constructive criticism is helpful to some people, judging people about their clothes is wrong. Judging people hurts their feelings and bullying can cause lifelong problems.</span>

Which two parts of this excerpt from Mark Twain's "The £1,000,000 Bank-Note" use hyperbole? "I may use your name! Your name--thi
navik [9.2K]

A hyperbole is either a word or a sentence in a text that shows an overstatement (an exaggeration), it does not have to be literal; it is just a way to express your ideas in order to generate a contrast or to get the reader's attention.

In the excerpt the hyperboles (exaggerations) are:

  • <u><em>Your name--think of it! Man,</em></u><u><em> they'll flock in droves</em></u><u><em>, these rich Londoners; they'll fight for that stock! </em></u>

When the writer says <em>"they'll flock in droves", </em>he refers to a very big amount of people together.

  • <em><u>In less than twenty-four hours London was </u></em><em><u>abuzz</u></em><em><u>!</u></em>

When the writer uses the word <em>"abuzz", </em>it does not mean the city was on fire; it means the city was lively busy.

Do you think the speaker of this poem believes in life after death? How does this concept matter in the context of Annabel Lee?
Tju [1.3M]

Answer:

Yes! I think that the speaker believes in life after death.

In this concept of Annabel Lee, we see from Lines 34 - 37 that the speaker spoke about having "...dreams of the beautiful Annabel Lee" and feeling "...the bright eyes of the beautiful Annabel Lee".

The speaker uses these lines to imply that Annabel Lee still lives on. The speaker sees it impossible for her to be separated from Lee.

Explanation:

This poem reveals the love that existed between the speaker and Annabel Lee. Also, it shows the tragic death of Annabel Lee.

But the speaker finds it hard to be separated from the one she loves.

USA's Week of Welcome is designed to show new freshman and transfer students all the places you belong at South Alabama. From the moment our new students set foot in Housing at Move-In Day, through their First Night on campus, Convocation, and Get-on-Board Day, we have designed a schedule full of events — both academic and social — to highlight our special campus community.

Our goal is to help you get connected with the people, places, and groups that will make sure your time at South is spectacular. You will have the opportunity to meet students across a wide range of areas, learn about new organizations, and discover opportunities to connect with faculty in learning experiences ranging from the classroom to the Gulf of Mexico.

We look forward to meeting you at one of these opening events. Welcome to South Alabama
