4. You subtract 1 1/4 to 3/8 but it’s the longest and shortest.
5 for this question you would add all the fractions together because it’s asking how long would it be if it was all put together.
6. You would multiply 9 and 7/8 because you have 9 bolts that all have the length of 7/8 and you want to know how long it would be.

Question 4- You need to subtract the shortest bolt from the longest bolt, or 1 1/4 minus 3/8. Make 1 1/4 improper and make the denominator 8 so multiply 5x2=10 and 4x2=8. 10/8 - 3/8 equals 7/8 and thats your final answer. Hope this helped ;)

Given Equations

  • 5x+3y=8--(1)
  • 4x+7y=34--(2)

Let it has solution (x,y)

Add both

\\ \sf\longmapsto 5x+4x+3y+7y=8+34

\\ \sf\longmapsto 9x+10y=42

It will also have same solution (x,y)

almond37 [142]

Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

f(x)=-1/3x+13

f(-3)=-1/3(-3)+13

Solve the 3 × 3 system shown below. Enter the values of x, y, and z. X + 2y – z = –3 (1) 2x – y + z = 5 (2) x – y + z = 4 (3)
Svet_ta [14]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

\boxed{x=1, \y=-1, \ z=2}

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

We will use the Gaussian elimination method to solve this problem. To do so, let's follow the following steps:

Step 1: Let's multiply first equation by −2. Next, add the result to the second equation. So:

\begin{array}{ cccc }~~ x&+~~2~ y&-~~~~~ z&~=~-3\\&-~~~5~ y&+~~3~ z&~=~11\\~~ x&-~~~~~ y&+~~~~ z&~=~4\end{array}

Step 2: Let's multiply first equation by −1. Next, add the result to the third equation. Thus:

\begin{array}{ cccc }~~ x&+~~2~ y&-~~~~~ z&~=~-3\\&-~~~5~ y&+~~3~ z&~=~11\\&-~~~3~ y&+~~2~ z&~=~7\end{array}

Step 3: Let's multiply second equation by −35, Next, add the result to the third equation. Therefore:

\begin{array}{ cccc }~~ x&+~~2~ y&-~~~~~ z&~=~-3\\&-~~~5~ y&+~~3~ z&~=~11\\&&+~~\frac{ 1 }{ 5 }~ z&~=~\frac{ 2 }{ 5 }\end{array}

Step 4: solve for z, then for y, then for x:

\frac{ 1 }{ 5 } ~ z & = \frac{ 2 }{ 5 } \\ \\ \boxed{z & = 2}

-5y+3z &= 11\\-5y+3\cdot 2 &= 11\\ \\ \boxed{y &= -1}

By substituting y=-1 \ and \ z=2 into the first equation, we get the x. So:

x+2(-1)-2=-3 \\ \\ x-2-2=-3 \\ \\ \boxed{x=1}

Kindly check the attached image below:

THERE EXISTS A WEAK POSITIVE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SQUARE FEET AND RENT .

AS SQUARE FEET INCREASES RENT INCREASES

SolutionB:

Rent=0.4932(squarefeet)+992.99

slope=m=0.4932

Y intercept=992.99

SolutionC:

Interpretation of slope:

slope =m=change in rent/change in square foot

For a unit increase in square feet rent increases by 0.4932

Interpretation of y intercept:

when square feet=0 rent is 992.99

Solutiond:

when squarefeet=800

Rent=0.4932(squarefeet)+992.99

=Rent=0.4932(800)+992.99

=1387.55
