Yes Elijah is taller than Jon because if Steve is taller than Jon, and Elijah is taller than Steve, that makes Elijah taller than Jon. The heights from greatest to least are Elijah, Steve and then Jon being the shortest.

Elijah is taller than Jon because he is taller than Steve. If Steve is taller than Jon, that means Elijah is taller than both of them, including Steve.

What is the solution of the system of equations <br> y =2x - 3
kherson [118]

Answer:

-37/5= y

x=11/5

Step-by-step explanation:

4x-3y=31

-3y=-4x+31 regroup it to match the other

-2 y=(2x-3)(-2) multiply by -2 to get -4x

-3y=-4x+31

-2y=-4x+6 adding

-5y=37 divide

-37/5= y

4x-3(-37/5)=31

x=11/5

Find the equation of the line through the point (-2,-2) that is perpendicular to the line y=2x-1
Lerok [7]

A line perpendicular to y = 2x - 1 must have the slope -1/2 (negative reciprocal of 2).

Thus, the eq'n of the new line is y+2 = (-1/2)(x+2).

Please help me answer number 38.
julia-pushkina [17]

The request is to find the intersection of the two sets. By definition, the intersection of two sets is another set, composed by all the elements appearing in both sets.

In other words, P\cap Q is the set of all elements that P and Q have in common.

P contains all the numbers from 0 to 9, V contains all the odd numbers between 1 and 19. So, their intersection will be the odd numbers between 0 and 9, i.e.

P\cap Q=\{1, 3, 5, 7, 9\}
