The perimeter of a rectangle is 96 feet. Three times the width is 8 less than the length. Find the dimensions of the rectangle.
Roman55 [17]
Width= w
length= (3w-8)

2w+2(3w-8)= 96
2w + 6w -16= 96
8w= 112
8w/8= 112/8
w= 14

width= 14 feet
length= 34 feet

so the dimensions are 14x34 feet
