Why are secondary sources important to the study of history?

So lets say you found farming tools  then a secondary source would be like telling how they farmed so you can see how they used those tools. in an example say i said that the native Americans rode on horses were did they ride those horses? i hope this helps

It was the idea of "Manifest Destiny" that was the belief that it was God’s plan for the United States to own most or all of North America, since people thought the US was "destined" to occupy all the territory from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
