What following ? actually the cell will gain more water by diffusion and will let more sodium chloride ions in because they will move from high concentration to low concentration

: None of the above. The person with the microscope doesn't know what he's doing -- most likely is unfamiliar with the workings of a microscope.
If you put a plant cell into a hypertonic solution, the plant cell does lose water to the environment, mostly through shrinking of the central vacuole. The cell membrane pulls away from the cell wall.

In biological systems, there are several membrane transport systems responsible for the passage of ions like Na+ and K+ , or sma
Pepsi [2]

Answer:

Answered below

Explanation:

Cell membranes are barriers which protect and regulate the movement of substances in and out of the cells. It is a semi-permeable and selective structure.

In the passive transport system, substances move along a concentration gradient and it doesn't require energy. The examples of passive transports include; simple diffusion which transports carbon dioxide and oxygen, osmosis and facilitated diffusion which transports charged molecules like ions, sucrose etc.

In active transport, substances move against the concentration gradient. This requires energy. The two main types are: primary active transport, which uses direct metabolic energy e.g Na+/K+ pump, and the secondary active transport system which couples the transported molecules with another molecule moving along the gradient, example the Na+/glucose transporter.

Scientists classify rocks
kondor19780726 [428]
The correct answer is by composition and texture. Composition is that minerals that the rock are made of. Texture refers to the grain size of the different components of that rock. Texture has to do with sizes of mineral grains and other constituents in a rock and how the sizes and shapes relate to each other.
