Are the lines parallel, perpendicular, or neither?5x + 2y = 1015x + 4y = -4

5x+2y=10, 2y=-5x+10, y=-2.5x+5

15x+4y=-4, 4y=-15x-4, y=-3.75x-1

-2.5 != -3.75

And -2.5m=-1, m=0.4, 0.4 !=-3.75

So the slopes are not equal and they are also not negative reciprocals of one another.

Thus the lines are neither parallel nor perpendicular.

How do I simplify the n^-6*n^3 topic "Negative and Zero Exponents"
Alchen [17]
Since you’re multiplying n^-6 and n^3, you can add the exponents: -6+3 = -3

n^-6 * n^3 = n^-3

If you need to finish without having a negative exponent in your answer, then remember a negative exponent means that factor is on the wrong side of the fraction.

n^-3 = n^-3 / 1 = 1/n^3

when the factor moves to the other side of the fraction, the side of the exponent changes.

(5a3b)(2ab)

Expand

That's

15ab( 2ab )

we have the answer as

30a²b²

2).

5y(-y² + 7y - 2)

Expand

That's

Complete the paragraph proof. We are given that ∠B ≅ ∠C. Assume segment AB is not congruent to . If AB > AC, then m∠C > m∠
Lorico [155]

Given that ∠B ≅ ∠C.

to prove that the sides AB = AC

This can be done by the method of contradiction.

If possible let AB \neq=AC

Then either AB>AC or AB<AC

Case i: If AB>AC, then by triangle axiom, Angle C > angle B.

But since angle C = angle B, we get AB cannot be greater than AC

Case ii: If AB<AC, then by triangle axiom, Angle C < angle B.

But since angle C = angle B, we get AB cannot be less than AC

Conclusion:

Since AB cannot be greater than AC nor less than AC, we have only one possibility. that is AB =AC

Hence if angle B = angle C it follows that

AB = AC, and AB ≅ AC.
