Answer:

The volume of blood pumped from the ventricles to the body would be reduced because blood would backflow into the atria.

Explanation:

The valves which are separating the chambers in the heart are known as tricuspid and bicuspid valves. These valves are present between atria/atrium and ventricles that is why they are also know as atrioventricular valves . Their basic function is to prevent the backflow of blood from ventricles to atria. The backflow may occur when the ventricles are full of blood and they contract. At this point of time, the blood may either move out of heart to aorta or back to the atrium but closing of valves do not let this blood to backflow so that maximum blood could be pumped to the body. But if the valves will not close then during ventricular contraction, some blood will move back to atrium and hence comparatively less blood will be pumped towards the body.

Dennis_Churaev [7]

Answer:

Answer is E. Hydrogen bonds.

Explanation:

The ribonucleic acid, RNA molecules are held together by hydrogen bonds. And as we know that water is the universal solvent, and it is capable of breaking many molecules that are being held together through bonds by dissolving the bonds.

Therefore, in this case of the RNA, the water will break the hydrogen bonds that held the monomers or molecules together.

A particular plant has 10 pairs of chromosomes in each cell. For each of the plant's gametes, how many genetic combinations are
Law Incorporation [45]

Answer:

C. 1,024

The answer can be worked out using 2^pairs of chromosomes

Explanation:

Imagine there were two pairs of chromosomes:

 • A paired with B
 • C paired with D

A gamete could have the following combinations:

 • A + C
 • A + D
 • B + C
 • B + D

Therefore, with two pairs of chromosomes, there are 4 (2²) possibilities

Now, Imagine there were three pairs of chromosomes:

 • A paired with B
 • C paired with D
 • E paired with F

A gamete could have the following combinations:

 • A + C + E
 • A + D + E
 • A + D + F
 • A + C + F
 • B + D + F
 • B + C + F
 • B + C + E
 • B + D + E

Therefore, with three pairs of chromosomes, there are 4 (2³) possibilities

For 10 chromosomes - there are 2¹⁰ possibilities. 2¹⁰ = 1024
