PEMDAS - Parenthesis, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and Subtraction

First, we do the exponents.

5² - 4 · 6 + 11

= 25 - 4 · 6 + 11

Next, multiplication (according to PEMDAS).

= 25 - 24 + 11

Although PEMDAS says addition then do subtraction, please note that this is totally interchangeable. For the sake of this problem, subtraction will be done first.

= 25 - 24 + 11

= 1 + 11

Finally, addition.

= 12

This is your answer. Happy studying~

A total of 800 pre-sale tickets and tickets at the gate were sold to football city championship game. If the number of tickets s
Nitella [24]

The number of presale tickets sold is 271

Solution:

Let "p" be the number of presale tickets sold

Let "g" be the number of tickets sold at gate

Given that, total of 800 Pre-sale tickets and tickets at the gate were sold

Therefore,

Presale tickets + tickets sold at gate = 800

p + g = 800 ------ eqn 1

Given that, number of tickets sold at the gate was thirteen less than twice the number of pre-sale tickets

Therefore,

Number of tickets sold at gate = twice the number of pre-sale tickets - 13

g = 2p - 13 ------- eqn 2

Let us solve eqn 1 and eqn 2

Substitute eqn 2 in eqn 1

p + 2p - 13 = 800

3p -13 = 800

3p = 800 + 13

3p = 813

p = 271

Thus 271 presale tickets were sold

The number of users of a certain website (in millions) from 2004 through 2011 follows:
leonid [27]

Answer:

y = 26.3x² - 116.9x + 109.6

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the data ;

Year Period Users (Millions)

2004 1 1

2005 2 5

2006 3 11

2007 4 58

2008 5 145

2009 6 359

2010 7 607

2011 8 846

A quadratic regression model can be obtained using a quadratic regression calculator ; The quadratic regression modeled obtained is in the form :

y = Ax² + Bx + C

y = 26.3x² - 116.9x + 109.6

GREYUIT [131]
It’s rational, for a number to be rational you have to be able to write it as a fraction and you can write 0.515115111511115111115... as a fraction.
