Hi, I'm going to answer this question as if you asked "What cultural groups were found in the New World?" The wording is a bit off-putting in the original question, so I hope I can do my best to help. :)
The New World we be specific to the western hemisphere of the world so I will talk about the groups found there during that time. Specifically the Native-Americans.
Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Creek and Seminole were the five main tribes that were found in the new world, and while all being native American, they lived in varying tribes with completely different cultures, all speaking a form of the Muskogean language.

The issue of slavery divided the country due to the bias and the disagreement people had. Northern whites wanted to make Texas a slave state causing Mexico to become furious. The that caused the Whites forcing Mexicans into New Mexico but many had worries about not having there freedom and rights that they had before.
