Two technicians are discussing a fuel pump and an inertia switch (i.E. Safety cutoff switch) wired in series. Technician A state

s that the amperage measured at the pump should be the same as that measured at the switch. Technician B states that high resistance in the in the inertia switch will reduce the amperage through the pump. Which technician is correct?

Answer:

Technician A is correct.

Explanation:

The amperage should be the same throughout. In an electric circuit, the current is ratio of the voltage and resistance:

V=IR

and

I = \frac{V}{R}

where V = voltage and R =resistance

The potential difference between two points is given as the electromotive force, emf.

This is the force required to more electrons from one point to another.

In a similar sense, the current is the flow of charge from one point to another in a circuit.  Thus, the current should be the same throughout.

Hence Technician A is correct.

Answer:

Olshansky and Ault [10] proposed a “fourth stage” of epidemiologic transition, “The Age of Delayed Degenerative Diseases,” in which declining age-specific mortality results in a gradual shift of non-communicable burden to older ages, with underlying causes of death showing little change overall.
