Answer: Option A and C

Explanation: The animals take oxygen from the atmosphere and performs the process known as cellular respiration.

This process releases carbon dioxide which is expelled out of the body. This carbon dioxide from atmosphere is take up by plants and in this way the dog will contribute in carbon cycle.

Dog will also also excrete feces containing carbon into the environment that will enter into the geosphere and contribute in carbon cycle.

Explain in your own words why pH and temperature can affect enzyme function
Shtirlitz [24]

Answer:

pH - Each enzyme has an optimal pH at which it works best, if the pH is too acidic or basic, the enzyme will start to denature.

Temperature - Each enzyme has an optimal temperature at which it works best as well. If it is too hot, the enzyme will start to denature and if it is too cold, there will be fewer collisions between enzymes and substrates.
