The British Army set out from Boston to capture Samuel Adams, leaders of rebel and John Hancock in Lexington as well as to destroy the Americans store of weapons and ammunition in Concord.

The Americans combined in their small army to stop the British soldiers. British and American armies met up at Lexington which is a small town on the way to Concord. The British's soldiers were more in number than Americans. Therefore British won the battle.
