Answer:

The largest integer is y= -5 and the smaller is x=-6

Step-by-step explanation:

Define your variables as:

y: Larger integer

x: Smaller integer

Following the first part of the problem:

y=2x +7 (1)

As the two numbers are consecutive the difference between the large number and the smallest is 1 independetly if they are positive or negative integers so:

y-x = 1 (2)

Simplifying y in (2)

y= 1+x (3)

(3) in (1)

1+x=2x+7

-7+1 = 2x-x

x= -6 (4)

(4) in (3)

y= -6 + 1

y=-5

So the large integer y is -5 and the smaller x is -6

Irina-Kira [14]

Answer:

16.5

Step-by-step explanation:

60 minutes = 1 hour

20 minutes * 3 = 60.

That means, by multiplying by a factor of 3, we can see exactly what Carrier's pg/hr speed is.

5.5 * 3 = 16.5

Subtract using a number line.
kow [346]

The difference of the numbers given as -3.3 - (-0.6) is -2.7

How to subtract the numbers using a number line?

The difference of the numbers is given as

-3.3 - (-0.6)

Open the brackets, in the above expression

So, we have:

-3.3 - (-0.6) = -3.3 + 0.6

The above expression means that we make a mark on the number line at point 0.6 and then move the points on the number line to the left by 3.3 units.

So, we have the result to be:

-3.3 - (-0.6) = -2.7

This means that the last position on the number line is -2.7

Hence, the value of the difference of the numbers given as -3.3 - (-0.6) is -2.7

Which is true about the slope of a line?
Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of all lines in quadrant 1 is positive. FALSE

The slope of a line does not depend on the quadrant.

The slope of all lines that pass through the origin is undefined.FALSE

The slope of some lines that pass trough the origin are undefined ( lines that are vertical have undefined slope)

The larger the slope, the longer the line.FALSE

The lines do not get longer or shorter because they go to infinity in both directions.

The larger the magnitude of the slope value, the steeper the line. TRUE

The larger the absolute value of the slope the steeper the slope.
