Answer:

Yes, he has committed slander.

Explanation:

Defamation is a False that we made toward other people , with the intention to cause some sort of harm toward them. (such as capital punsihment or destruction of reputation)

Generally, the defamation is divided into two:

- Libel : If the defamation is conducted through written medium (such as false document)

- Slander : If the defamation is conducted through verbal methods.

Pay attention to this part of the excerpt:

While at a friend's wedding, he comments that another senator, Glen, is corrupt and is an alcoholic and drug addict.

Since this happened at the wedding and can be picked up through video, the false statement are most likely made verbally. And it caused Glen's reputation to be ruined.

Answer:

The correct answer is:

B. Political organizations of the past bear no resemblance to the political organizations of today.

Explanation:

What the author means implicitly in his text, is that participation in the political processes of our day is not as real as it was a few years ago. Since today due to technology, people are not really present in the debates and their opinions are handled anonymously. Previously, participation in political activities was carried out in person, which gave it a real touch according to what the author expresses between the lines.
