<span>Martin Seligman is a psychology professor who believes that the rise in western individualism is no doubt responsible for an increase in depression. He is recognized as an authority in positive psychology and operates a center called Penn Positive Psychology Center at the University of Pennsylvania. In addition to encouraging people to think positively, Dr Seligman shows them how to show resilience and grit in all aspects of their lives.</span>
The growth had different number of sources. The automobile industry was partially responsible, as the number of automobiles produced almost quadrupled between 1946 and 1955. A housing boom, stimulated in part by easily affordable mortgages for returning servicemen, which fueled the expansion.
