Morphine is a strong painkiller; it is used in the treatment of extreme pain, like after an operation or a lethal energy, or pain due to heart attack or from cancer. It is also used for other kinds of long-prolonging pain in the case when the weaker painkillers are no longer functioning.

It comes in the form of capsule, tablets, granules, which are readily soluble in water. However, injections of morphine are generally used only in hospitals.
