Order from greatest to least is 2.5, 1\frac{3}{4} and 1.5 and -2

<u>Solution:</u>

Given that numbers are 1.5, 1\frac{3}{4} and 2.5 and -2

We have to arrange the numbers from greatest to least, Which means descending order

As we can see, numbers are in different forms, let us convert all of them into decimal form.

converting 1\frac{3}{4} to decimal form we get,

1 \frac{3}{4}=\frac{4 \times 1+3}{4}=\frac{7}{4}=1.75

Now the given numbers are 1.5, 1.75, 2.5, -2

By comparing we get,

2.5 > 1.75 > 1.5 > -2

Hence, the order of given numbers is 2.5, 1\frac{3}{4} and 1.5 and -2

Describe what the vertical line test is used for.
kobusy [5.1K]
The vertical line test is used to tell if a graph is a function or not. To pass a vertical line test, you would have to be able to draw a vertical line anywhere on the graph and two points can't be hit. Linear functions will pass the vertical line test, while a horizontal quadratic function will not.

Kay [80]

Answer:

hi

Step-by-step explanation:

Option 4th is correct

The solution of the system of equations is, (9, 3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the system of equations:

⇒                .....[1]

⇒                 .....[2]

Add equation [1] and [2] we have;

Divide both sides by 2 we have;

Substitute x = 9 in [1] we have;

Subtract 9 from both sides we have;

2y = 6

Divide both sides by 2, we have;

y = 3

Therefore, the solution of the system of equations is, (9, 3)
