I was able to find two options online for this question. There might be more options, but the correct one was already found, so others are not so relevant. The options I've found are:

a) People are less likely to come to negative assumptions about why a middle-class female needs help.

b) People are always more likely to help someone from the middle-class rather than a lower class.

Answer:

The reason why the researcher felt the female's appearance was important is:

a) People are less likely to come to negative assumptions about why a middle-class female needs help.

Explanation:

The fact that we judge people by their appearance is an unfortunate truth. In this experiment, the researcher realized people tended to help a woman in need if she looked "middle-class". That is because people in general tend to make assumptions as to why a person needs help. A middle-class woman is less likely to be judged negatively in that sense. People probably think she is not the cause of her own distress.

Aleonysh [2.5K]

The conflict perspective focuses on the idea that racial prejudice and discrimination are perpetuated through economic exploitation.

What is Conflict Perspective?

 • A social science viewpoint that contrasts with structural functionalism and ideological conservatism by highlighting the social, political, or material inequalities of a social group, criticizing the larger socio-political system, or in some other way.
 • The Conflict paradigm contends that inequality stemming from social divisions between the dominant group and all other groups in society plagues every society.
 • When examining any aspect of society from this angle, it is important to consider the structures of money, power, and status as well as the manner in which they uphold the social, economic, political, and coercive dominance of one group at the expense of others.

What type of contraction involves the development of tension but no change in length?.
valentinak56 [21]

An isometric contraction is the kind of contraction that leads to development of tension but no increase in length.

An isometric contraction occurs as the muscle produces tension without changing the angle of a skeletal joint. Isometric contraction is a static muscle action that helps to maintain the posture. For example, the antigravity muscles. It occurs in the biceps when the arms may be holding a weight. In such a posture, the biceps enlarge due to holding of weight and produces tension but do no increase in length. It stops the flexion of elbow. In such contraction, no work is done, and lesser amount of heat energy is released in comparison to isotonic contractions.
