It is factorable if you can solve it when it equals 0.
There are many ways to do this.

X^2+bx+12=0

(-b +-  \sqrt{ b^{2} -4*12 } )/2

This equation gives a good answer if
b ^{2}  \geq 48

You're looking for values to factor this equation into (x+p)(x+q)
such that pq=12 and p+q=b

Assuming we're looking for simple values, you can start by factorizing 12:

12 = 3*4 = 2*6 = 12*1 = -3*-4 = -2*-6 = -12*-1

For 3 and 4, b would be 7
2 and 6 => b=8
12 and 1 => b=13

and for the negatives

b can be -7, -8 or -13

So the total set is -13, -8, -7, 7, 8, 13

Look at the histogram below which data set could be represented by the histogram
Anon25 [30]

Answer:

Option 4 is correct

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to select from the options, the dataset that is represented on the histogram

From what we have in the question, there is a range from 60 to 100

Also, there are no terms between 70 and 80

option 1 is wrong as we can see terms between 70 and 80

option 2 is also wrong for this reason

option 3 is incorrect ; looking at the frequency, the numbers between 60 and 70 should be 5 only and we have 6 in that set

Option 4 is the correct answer

Sergio039 [100]
Let events
A=Nathan has allergy
~A=Nathan does not have allergy
T=Nathan tests positive
~T=Nathan does not test positive

We are given
P(A)=0.75  [ probability that Nathan is allergic ]
P(T|A)=0.98  [probability of testing positive given Nathan is allergic to Penicillin]

We want to calculate probability that Nathan is allergic AND tests positive
P(T n A)

From definition of conditional probability,
P(T|A)=P(T n A)/P(A)
substitute known values,
0.98 = P(T n A) / 0.75
solving for P(T n A)
P(T n A) = 0.75*0.98 = 0.735

Hope this helps!!

PLEASE HELP
xeze [42]

Answer:

-4

Step-by-step explanation:

So we are given the expression: | y - x | + y - 1, and we have our values for (x,y): (-3,-6).

So, we can just start plugging things in and simplifying, so:

| -6 + 3 | - 6 - 1 = | -3 | -7

                       = 3 - 7

                       = -4

frez [133]

Answer: 7 students

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question, we are informed that there a camp is divided into2 groups and that there are 14 kids in Camp A and 21 kids in Camp B.

If the camps are divided into groups of equal size, there will be 7 students in a group. This will be gotten from :

Camp A = 14/2 = 7 students

Camp B = 21/3 = 7 students
