Colonists' rights were defined by formal documents. British rights were defined by laws and tradition.

Some natural rights of the Colonists include: First, a right to life; Secondly, to liberty; Thirdly, to property; along with the right to support and defend them in the best manner as possible.

The rights of Englishmen constitute the embraced traditional rights of citizens of England. In the 18th century, some of the colonists who objected to British rule in the British colonies in North America affirmed that their traditional rights as Englishmen were being violated.

How does paine view the role and importance of government in general? be specific
Kryger [21]
Paine, along with many revolutionaries of the period, viewed government as being inherently limited, in the sense that it was meant to serve the people and not the other way around. That's why he wrote "common sense" which talked about the absurdity of British rule over the colonies.

What is the best indication of a more developed society?
atroni [7]

Answer:

The enhanced standard of living of the citizens is the best indication of a more developed society.

Explanation:

 • A number of parameters can be applied for the measurement of the development of any given society.
 • But in order to determine whether the development has percolated down to the lowest strata of society, it is necessary to take note of the level of standard that the citizens have achieved to live their day-to-day life with.
 • Only through the determination of standard of living of the citizens, the true picture of development would surface.
