Compare hookworms and ascaris worms, include both similarities and differences
Monica [59]

Scientists study both the flatworm Planaria and the roundworm Caenorhabditis elegans in laboratories, using them as test subjects, and while they may seem similar, they have some distinct internal and external differences. Flatworms (phylum Platyhelminthes) and roundworms (phylum Nematoda) differ in shape, means of locomotion, how their digestive systems function, and in the ways they are harmful to human beings. While both species are called worms, they are not closely related.

In the future, doctors may be able to evaluate your DNA to check for genetic markers related to specific medical conditions or h
puteri [66]
First things first, I'd call this a questionnaire rather than a problem but anyways. Your DNA profile is literally your identity, and to have that stored in the medical records would be useful in some other cases besides medical issues. It is like having a copy of your fingerprint in the government's hands. Thus one may find it useful as another way to identify someone when the need occurs. As for purposes such as to be referred for the development of personal medical treatment (I believe you're referring to project CRISPR) , is not as necessary because the way they identify mutated genes or "infected" DNA or cells is by referring it to the normal DNA found in any other cells in your body, and if cells are that easy to access, they do not have the need to keep a medical record just for your DNA sequence along with all your gene codes, especially when you are performing investigations on the same species, humans, who have the same number of chromosomes with the similar genes.

Why doesn't a beehive fall off the trees or any other high places?

vaieri [72.5K]

Answer:

approximately 18in

How high should my hive stand be? A. While this is heavily dependant on your stature, an ideal height for a hive stand is approximately 18in off of the ground. Unless you are 6'5", this height will be ideal for working your hives without destroying your back.

"An animal's behavior is based on learning."
asambeis [7]
This statement would most likely come from a comparative behaviorist. Behaviorists study the behavior of both humans and animals. If somebody said this statement, it would mean that they observed this animal's behavior over a long period of time to determine that it learned how to do something, and that it's not just a result of instinct. If it were instinct, an ethologist would study that.
