Carlos baked pies for a Party. He cut some pies into 6 pieces and some into 8 pieces. After the party, more than 2 halfs (2 1/2)

were left but less than 3 pies were left. How much pie might have been left? Show how you know.

After the party 2 1/2 pies were left. but less than 3.
 3 - (2 1/2) = 1/2
3 pies minus 2 1/2 is equal to .5 or 1/2 pies

Hmm. I'm not so sure, but maybe 2 3/4. You can layout the numbers like 2, 2 1/4, 2 2/4, 2 3/4, 2 4/4 of 3. 2 2/4 can be simplified into 2 1/2 and 2 3/4 is definitely larger than 2 1/2 and less than 3. :)

Factor completely 3x4y3 − 15x2y2 + 6xy.
ElenaW [278]

Answer: you already gave the answer. To check it submit

factor 3x^4y^3 − 15x^2y^2 + 6xy

to Wolfram Alpha.

3xy(x^3y^2 − 5xy + 2) is the "irreducible factorization".

ollegr [7]
I think you misworded this question. If he buys 30 cups and puts four balls in each, then he would still have 30 cups.

Furkat [3]

180 cubic centimeters is the volume. And in water for liters is 0.18 liters

The work is 3*3*20=180 and there is 0.001 liters in one cubic centimeter.

Hope this helped!
