First question:

Plot (2,3) and (6,4), and draw a line segment connecting the two points.

The midpoint of this line segment is found as follows:

                           2 + 6
x-component = ---------- = 4
                               2
 
                           3+4
y-component = ---------- = 7/2 or 3.5
                              2

The midpoint of the line segment is (4, 3.5).
