In The Lord of the Flies, the forest symbolizes the unknown and darkness. Fear and trouble. The boys were terrified of the forest at night, and the thick vines and growth made it very hard to traverse even in the day.

Can't somebody help me i don't understand what supposed to do?
alukav5142 [94]

Answer:

I'm gussing there is reading material given to you that you are supposed to use to do this assignment.

They want you to highlight words or phrases that shape the tone of the paragraph, in other words: words or phrases that give the paragraph a certain mood. For example, the word "gloomy" can make the reader feel sad, which can contribute to a sad tone.

So for the second part, you can write about what words/phrases the author uses and how it affects the tone/mood of the story.

I don't know what you're reading, but this should help!

how does community development effectively improve the community especially those in the grass root level?
Lyrx [107]

Answer:

When community development is effective, there is less crime, less disparity between citizens, better jobs available, a more talented workforce, and less overall issues that impact residents. Community development doesn't necessarily solve problems in a city; it reduces problems and increases opportunities for growth.
