DIFFERENTIATE BETWEEN ALL THE RACES ON THE GLOBE ON THE BASIS OF CONTINENTS

Biology

4 0

The races on the globe originate in different regions although migrations have made current populations not reflect the trends.

Explanation:

There is no consensus on the number of races in the world and even among the accepted races demarcations are blurry at best. Some races look almost the same but come from very different parts so they are different to categorize.

What is known is that the black people originate in Africa.

White people originate in western Europe and Russia.

The brown skinned or Asians emerged in the middle east.

The Australoid people come from Pacific and South Asian islands.

The mongoloid Asian people emerged in China and Mongolia

The Hispanic people and native Indians emerged in Central America region.

Proteins, which are compounds made of nitrogen-rich amino acids, create waste products in the body of animals that must be elimi
GenaCL600 [577]

Answer:

C

Explanation:

Ammonia is toxic to the body. Animals that live in water excrete their waste in ammonia (aqueous) form because it is less toxic when diluted. However, land animals need to convert the ammonia to a less toxic product such as urea before excretion. Ammonia is formed through deamination of amino acid.

What are the dangers to the nervous system and consequences for a person's health while using ecstasy?
salantis [7]

Answer:

Effects of Ecstasy on the nervous system:

- stimulant

- psychedelic

- neurotoxic

- abnormal neurotransmitter function

- injured cognitive functions (e.g., sleep and pain control)

Explanation:

Ecstasy, also known as MDMA (3,4Methylenedioxymethamphetamine), is a stimulant and psychedelic drug that may exhibit neurotoxic effects. This amphetamine analog (i.e, drug based upon the amphetamine structure) has several effects on the nervous system which are caused by the increase in the activity of three major neurotransmitters: serotonin, dopamine, and norepinephrine. It has been shown that Ecstasy alters the central nervous system, producing neurotoxic effects and affecting brain functions including, among others, cognitive functioning and development, neuroendocrine release mechanisms, sleep control, pain control, etc.

Which of the following statements about double fertilization are true? Select all that apply. a. One sperm fuses with an egg whi
aleksley [76]

Answer: Only options A, B, C and D are true statements

A) One sperm fuses with an egg while the other sperm fuses with the polar nuclei.

B) It results in the formation of a diploid embryo and triploid endosperm.

C) Both sperms involved in double fertilization form within the same pollen tube.

- The diploid nucleus resulting from the second fertilization undergoes meiosis to form the endosperm.

Explanation:

Double fertilization is a process that occurs in only flowering plants. It involves the following:

- A pollen grain produces TWO male gametes

- one male gamete fertilize the egg to form a zygote that is DIPLOID (with two basic sets of chromosomes)

- the second male gamete fuses with another cell named POLAR NUCLEI, to form endosperm (the food storing tissue) in the seed. The endosperm formed is TRIPLOID ( it has three sets of chromosomes), having undergone reductive division - meiosis

Thus, the options A, B, C and D are true statements
