Answer:

The R chain gives an amino acid its unique identity

The hydrogen, carboxyl and amine groups are similar parts of all amino acids.

Explanation:

Amino acids are building blocks of protein molecules. They are 20 amino acids in nature, however, these amino acids are similar in structure but differ in the possession of different side chains, also called R chain.

- All amino acids have in their structure a hydrogen group (-H), an amino group (-NH2) and carboxyl group (-COOH). All these are attached to one carbon atom called the CENTRAL CARBON in the structure.

- A fourth group called "R chain" exists in the amino acid structure that differentiates all amino acids. This means that no two amino acids have the same R chain side group. For example, Alanine has a methyl group (-CH3) as its R side group while Glycine has hydrogen (-H) as its.

What is the TECTONIC CYCLE? Briefly summarize it.

<span>In simple terms, heavier plates get melted in Mantle, become lighter in form of lava and create new plates. As we have a re-cycle or the convection currents, there are cycles in lithosphere.
There is continuous push and pull happening on and below the Earth. When a plate is subducting on one end, there has to be some reaction on the other end, right?
Ridge is developed on the other side, where the same material which has been melted on the subduction side helps to fill the gap at ridge side. Since the material is just transfered from heavy to light, and reused in that cell, it is called a cycle.

slava [35]

When a cat drops from a tree to the ground, the cat is transforming chemical energy attained from the food into kinetic energy. The later energy is used by the living species when they are performing locomotion.

When a cat feeds on a mouse, the mouse will undergo through the process of digestion resulting in the formation of chemical energy. Thus, the food consumed by the cat will get transformed into chemical energy that can be utilized by the cat to perform its usual activities.
