Answer:

They fought where they were needed.

Explanation:

The Continental Army was the Army formed after the outbreak of the War of Independence of the United States by the 13 colonies that later became the United States of America. Established by a resolution of the Continental Congress on June 14, 1775 as a paramilitary service, created to coordinate the military acts of the Thirteen Colonies in their fight against Great Britain. General George Washington was the Commander-in-Chief of the Continental Army during the War.

Most of the Continental Army was dissolved in 1783 after the Treaty of Paris with which the war ended. The remaining units of soldiers possibly formed the nucleus of what would later become the United States Army.

Which one of the following hurt the colonists chances of winning the American revolution the most?
Oxana [17]

Answer:

The number of loyalists in the colonies.

Explanation:

Those who were coined as loyalists were people in the U.S. who did not see the need to break away from Britain, and would range from just simply not supporting the revolution, to even actively fighting for Britain.

The first and second choices are correct, and would not hurt the colonists chances of winning. The fourth choice is only half correct, as the Americans received adequate leadership under George Washington, as well as training from foreign countries such as Spain and France.

the age of imperialism fell right on the coattails of the industrial revolution.what is the connection between the two
Ilya [14]

For the answer to the question above, the Industrial Revolution began in Great Britain in the early 18th century, a time when European imperialism in the New World and around the coasts of Africa and Asia was already well underway. However, the Industrial Revolution fundamentally changed the nature of colonialism. It had previously focused primarily on trade in Africa and Asia and gold and agriculture in the New World. The Industrial Revolution vastly increased productivity in industrialized areas, leading to a need for more raw materials to keep up with technological capacity. As a result, Great Britain needed a source for raw materials, such as cotton to keep its textile mills running. The need for cotton was part of the reason for British takeovers in India, Egypt, and other areas.

The Industrial Revolution also made Europeans more capable of conquering large parts of the world. European improvements in weapons made unindustrialized nations easier to defeat in battle. Steamboats and railroads made Europeans more capable of projecting power to far-flung colonies, which permitted the European powers to control larger areas. Improvements in transportation also gave Europeans better access to distant markets, giving them a place to sell the manufactured goods that they made with their new technology
