The range is the difference between the lowest number and the highest number:

the plot has low of 4 and high of 10, 10-4 =  6.

A has low of 14 and high of 26, 26-14 =  12,

B has low of 60 and high of 65, 65-60 =  5,

C. has low of 16 and high of 26, 26-16 =  10,

D has low of 9 and high of 15, 15-9 = 6, which is the same as the plot.

Range of  data set in the question is 10-4 = 6

Range of D  is also 6  ( 15 - 9)

The TV repairman charges $40 to come out to your house and check the TV
sergeinik [125]

Answer:

The equation to find the cost of repairing a TV is:

y = 25x + 40

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the slope-intercept form of the line equation is

y=mx+b

where m is the slope or rate of change and b is the y-intercept

Given that the TV chairman charges $40 to come out to your house and check the TV  plus $25 per hour of labor.

It means $40 is the y-intercept because it represents the starting point/condition of the repairman.

Let 'x' be the number of hours and y be the cost.

The rate of change = 25$ per hour of labor

  • The rate of change can also be termed as the slope.

Thus, m = 25

Hence, the slope-intercept form of the line equation becomes

y = mx+b

substituting m = 25 and b=40

y = 25x + 40

Therefore, the equation to find the cost of repairing a TV is:

y = 25x + 40

Validation:

y = 25x + 40

putting x = 1 to determine the cost if labor works for 1 hour.

y = 25(1) + 40 = $65

putting x = 2 to determine the cost if labor works for 2 hours.

y = 25(2) + 40 = $95

Helpppp anyoneee please!!
pshichka [43]

Answer:x=6

Step-by-step explanation:

So if y is 0, that’s 8(y) which is 0. That means the equation is 2x=12, which means x is 6

My comments don’t work! But it’s (6,0)

5x=-y+6 solve for y when x =1,2,3
Assoli18 [71]
When x = 1
5(1) = -y + 6
5 = -y + 6
y = 6 - 5 = 1

When x = 2
5(2) = -y + 6
10 = -y + 6
y = 6 - 10 = -4

When x = 3
5(3) = -y + 6
15 = -y + 6
y = 6 - 15 = -9

What is the probability that a stamp chosen at random is a commemorative or a special delivery stamp?
Ksivusya [100]

Answer: Option 'D' is correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

P(\text{ getting a commemorative stamp})=0.16

and

P(\text{getting a special delivery stamp})=0.18

So, we need to find,

P(\text{getting either a commemorative or a special delivery stamp})\\=P(\text{getting a commemorative stamp})+P({\text{ getting a special delivery stamp})

(∵they are independent events .)

P(\text{getting either a commemorative or a special delivery stamp})\\=0.16+0.18\\=0.34

So, option 'D' is correct.
