In partial-quotients division, it takes several steps to find the quotient. At each step, you find a partial answer (called a partial quotient); then you find the product of the partial quotientand divisor and subtract it from the dividend. Finally, you add all the partial quotients to find the final quotient.

.75 is 75% which is also 3/4 or three-quarters.  They all mean the same thing.  That means he makes 3 out of every 4 shots.
If he shot 16 times he made 12 shots because:

What some things that apply to quadratics
Marina CMI [18]

Quadratic equations are also used when gravity is involved, such as the path of a ball or the shape of cables in a suspension bridge. A very common and easy-to-understand application of a quadratic function is the trajectory followed by objects thrown upward at an angle.

You deposit $20,000 in an account that pays 7.77% annual interest. Find the balance after 2 years when the interest is compounde
zvonat [6]

Answer:

=$23,350.802

Step-by-step explanation:

Compound Interest (A)=P(1+r/n)^nt

Where,

P=principal=$20,000

r=Interest rate=7.77%=7.77/100

=0.0777

n=number of periods=12 month in a year

t=time=2 years

(A)=P(1+r/n)^nt

=$20,000(1+0.0777/12)^12×2

=$20,000(1+0.006475)^24

=$20,000(1.006475)^24

=$20,000(1.1675401)

=$23,350.802
